In Leap/SLE 15.6, AppArmor should be updated (at least) to the latest 3.1.x version.
If upstream is fast enough, AppArmor 4.0 might also be an option. (4.0 is not available yet, but that's also true for Leap 15.6 ;-)
I did speak to Goldwyn, the request makes sense. I'd aim for whatever version is available at around RC timeframe (latest) in the May 2023.

3.1.6 update landed almost a month ago. Maintainer does not expect AppArmor 4 to be available in our timeframe.
